Perhaps this snarky of a post is against my character, but for some reason, I was really feeling it today! Browsing Celebutopia, my favorite celebrity candid/photoshoot forum site, I happened to spot this recent image of Lindsay Lohan:

Umm... what is going on with the breakouts, Linds? If I were rich and famous, I would certainly be able to afford flawless skin.

Oh, and lest we forget this little number....

Last night, I caught an episode of "Brooke Knows Best", the reality TV spinoff of Hogan Knows Best. As most of us know, Brooke Hogan (or Brooke Bollea) is the daughter of Hulk Hogan. She seems to be pursuing this reality TV career as well as attempting a music career.

I seem to alternate between thinking Brooke Hogan is cute, trashy, manly, and pretty. I can't seem to make up my mind about this one!

So, I am not the biggest Amy Winehouse fan, but I thought it was quite interesting how different she looks without her trademark winged eyeliner!

Of course, this is her looking completely barefaced in comparison to her looking made up nicely. I neglected to include her looking a hot mess as she normally does. You know, makeup smeared, cut up, diaper wearing... the usual. So, this time, I was hoping we could compare makeup-less Amy to made up properly Amy.

This week's Magic Of Makeup features Kelly Ripa!

These past few years, New Jersey native Kelly Ripa has been a rising star on daytime television. She started off on All My Children, and now has moved on to co-host Live With Regis and Kelly. She has won an American Daytime Emmy Award, and now has a series of Electrolux promotional commercials.

So, here is Kelly without and with makeup for your viewing pleasure:


I think that Ms. Ripa does not look half bad for 37. She definitely looks more stunning with the makeup, however, in my opinion. This is likely because she is blonde so she has fair features that do not stand out very much.

I am adding another new weekly installment to my blog! This one is called "Magic Of Makeup" and will feature a celebrity with and without makeup, leaving you to judge which you prefer! Also, these will include a little featurette of a mini makeup recreation as well.

My reason for adding this new topic is simple: Not only will this add for some interaction around the blog, but it will also add some joy to your week. Why, you ask? Because it is always nice to know that celebrities don't look amazing 24/7. Call it cynical, petty, or jealous behavior, but you know its true! Nothing puts a smile on your face more than knowing that gorgeous celebrity is oh, a little less than gorgeous in real life. So... without further ado...
