Handbag Planet: 24 Handbags in 24 Hours!
Here's a pretty cool contest that was brought to my attention the other day: Win a Free Handbag at Handbag Planet! Now, the Handbag Planet website is not up and running just yet -- they open on October 15th. To celebrate, however, Handbag Planet is giving away 24 handbags in 24 hours! You get to choose which bag you would like to be entered in to win, and you're entered in just by giving your name and info. Sounds good to me :)
I can't wait to see what kind of deals they have on this site when it opens! For now, don't forget to enter the "24 Handbags in 24 Hours" Giveaway!

Personal Update and Long Awaited Pics!
Today is my first day back at school (Monmouth U.) and also a job interview for a part-time receptionist position at a nearby law firm. I don't really have any business clothes (like suits or whatever), so I don't know what I want to wear. Maybe I'll go run out and buy a button down for this.
I am somewhat excited to get started with school, as it will be a nice change from working every day. I have afternoon/night classes and Fridays off! Woo hoo! So that means, if I only work the job three days a week, I can sleep in 2 days and still have my whole weekend. Sounds nice, right?
So anyway, I have been moving my stuff in to my room and my office room in my new house. Here is my office room, aka Shop With a Vengeance headquarters, which I painted a nice chocolate brown with one light light blue wall.. The picture doesn't really do it justice, and I definitely need some artwork on that blue wall. It's getting there.
Also, my run-over closet in the office room, which just holds... you guessed it... JUST shoes and purses! Haha!
And last but not least, here is my promised picture of my new doggie, Hunter. He is a two-year-old American Eskimo. We've had him about a month or so. He's good, most of the time, when he isn't barking!

The Sak Handbag Giveaway! (7/13/08 - 7/19/08)
This week, the teen sensation Miley Cyrus was spotted, not once, but twice, with a bag from The Sak's Silverlake Collection. Miley was seen with The Sak Silverlake Convertible Satchel in Dark Amber, which is a gorgeous staple leather bag!
Want to accessorize like Miley Cyrus? Well, good news! My second awesome giveaway this week comes from our friends over at The Sak! They are offering one lucky reader a handbag from the Silverlake Collection, the same collection that Miley chose her purse from!
I can't wait to share this prize with you! All you have to do is fill out this form with your name and e-mail, and you could win it!
Standard Disclaimer: This giveaway is limited to U.S. participants only. All complete entries, via the form, are valid until the closing of the contest, at 12:00 AM on 7/20/2008. Multiple entries under the same name/e-mail do not increase your chance of winning. One winner will be selected at random at the date of the contest closing. If the winner, chosen at random, does not respond to my e-mail by one week after the contest closing, another winner will be chosen!
To learn more, check out The Sak's website, here.
Good luck!

Elliott Lucca "EL Signature Woven Drawstring"!
Talk about a weekend splurge! Well, not a splurge splurge, but nonetheless, a college-student-part-time-worker splurge! What am I talking about? Well, I have been getting quite bored with my purses lately, so I figured it was time for a change.
I decided to order this Elliott Lucca EL Signature Drawstring purse in White ($398) and it should be coming in sometime this week! I can't wait to get it! To be honest, I was looking for a large black bag... but I fell in love with the shape and style of this one and I felt that the white version showed off the detailing so much more. Regardless, I love white purses, as I already have one (but it's pretty outdated, and a little dirty I must admit)... I just think they're so spring-y, fresh, and gorgeous!
Size-wise, I need a pretty big bag for school and to carry all my stuff with me when I'm out (I'm kind of a grandma about carrying a lot of stuff), so I figured this large one should do the trick. I also love the classic look of the woven leather. Although I have clutches for special occasions, the size of a small bag is so impractical to me... in fact, my boyfriend calls me his "Duffle bag Girlfriend". Hah! I'd be offended if it wasn't so true!
I've heard good reviews about this bag, and also Elliott Lucca seems to be a good value brand according to several forums. I also heard that Elliott Lucca was the higher end line of "The Sak", which I would think would mean that this bag is very function-friendly as well. However, if it's too big, or I don't like it in real life... then it's going right back! As a college student I can't play around when it comes to "big ticket" purchases like that, lol.
I'll be sure to post pictures with it when it arrives!

Jumeau Handbags by Andramine!
A few days ago, I was contacted by Rebecca from Andramine urging me to check out their Jumeau line of handbags and purses! I wanted to share with you all the Jumeau line and explain a little bit about it... so here goes! :)
Jumeau (website under contruction) is a brand extension of Andramine, a company which makes high quality, durable bags (such as F-Stop, their line of camera carrying cases and accessories). The Jumeau line targets a more fashionable, yet practical clientele who want something casual and durable that they can use in everyday life. All of the handbags in Jumeau's collection fit the bill on this, as they are made from quality materials and contain a huge assortment of pockets and compartments for storage throughout.
In their Fall/Winter line, which is out now, they have four distinct collections that can appeal to every girl's needs. The "Now" Collection is a trendy, cutting edge line that features Jumeau's take on practicality and fashion rolled into one. The "Institution" Collection uses rip-stop super-durable fabric to roll function and style into one extremely durable set of bags. These would be great for moms on the go, students, or anyone that needs a bag that will perform well under pressure. Also, available are the Commando and Green collections. The "Commando" Collection is available in various new-age camoflauge shades and is great for an on the go urban lifestyle. The "Green" Collection is a play on society's organic trend, focusing on raw, natural materials, like organic cotton and bamboo. Most of the collections have different style bags that are available in your choice of color combinations. To view their entire catalog, click this pdf.
