Blog Happenings
I wanted you to know that I am in the process of doing some major work on/for my blog. I want to have a lot more content available to my readers, so I plan on having at least 2 posts a day in the future, starting this coming week (Sunday). To kick it off, I will be hosting a new giveaway as well, so make sure you check back!
Right now, as you all may know, I am a full-time student and part-time worker besides doing this blog, so I'm sure you can imagine that it is a bit busy for me. I really want to devote myself to this, for you guys! I am running out to CVS and Walgreens tonight to check out some products for potential review.
By the way, if anyone has any requests, questions, tutorial desires, whatever... just let me know! I'd be happy to fulfill them because sometimes I run out of ideas as to what to put on here.
Also, I do appreciate feedback on all my posts, positive or negative. I recently got a few comments on an old post of mine that were borderline rude, but still I do appreciate the fact that someone was that affected by my post to bother commenting and "calling me out" on it. It seems to be the way of the web: people hiding behind their computer screens can have a complaint about anything and everything, but in real life they wouldn't have the nerve to actually say something to your face about it.
Anyway readers, thanks so much for your support and I hope that you enjoy what is to come at Shop With a Vengeance!
P.S. I am really excited that I sold my first item at my "Shop My Stash" store on e-crater tonight! I will be picking out my samples and sending it out on Monday. Yay!

Is Jack White the Equivalent of a Scantily Clad Mexican Model?
Now, as we all know, I am one for superficial things. I appreciate beauty, style, fashion, trends, and all the talented people who put such things together. I think that beauty and glamour are important in day to day life, to a point.
In real life, I don't really put on a full face of makeup unless I'm going somewhere special. I don't really get dressed up unless I have a reason to. I consider this attitude to be "normal". Unfortunately, as women/girls we are constantly reminded that we should be a picturesque thing of beauty at all times.
This topic is so redundant, I'm completely over it. I'm not a feminist, and I think that objectifying women is bad (although there are worse things). These are just my points of view. That being said, I want to share with you this screenshot from AskMen.com (taken 9/10/08):
Now, lets analyze this for a moment. Hmm... a scantily clad Mexican model (Daniela De Jesus Cosio) is "featured" as being worthy of attention... so we could say she is like the ideal girl for AskMen.com for the day. Now, to her left is the ideal male for AskMen.com for the day. Jack White.
Are we looking at the images here? The woman is completely objectified, posing in a sexy fashion while wearing a bikini... and the man is totally physically unappealing. What is this saying? It is okay for a guy to be unattractive if he is a supposed musical genius -- but in order for a woman to be "worthy of attention" she's gotta be sexed up eye candy?
Sounds like a good, old-fashioned double standard.
Now, I like looking at AskMen.com. I like reading their articles and seeing what guys have to say about certain women, etc. I'm not going to stop doing it. I'm not going to write them a complaint, because I know that this chauvinistic objectification is kind of what keeps their site running. However, I do think that it was a valid topic to point out. What do you think?

SHOP MY STASH! On E-Crater :)
I have taken the liberty of opening up my own E-crater store so that my readers can have an opportunity to shop my stash! Most of the items here are used 1x or just swatched for blog purposes, and then wound up in my product graveyard... so I've decided to bring 'em out to find a new home.
There are also a few new, untouched products available for your enjoyment as well! I've got a bit of everything so head on over!
Also, for a limited time (until they run out) you will receive two free samples with each order.

Personal Update and Long Awaited Pics!
Today is my first day back at school (Monmouth U.) and also a job interview for a part-time receptionist position at a nearby law firm. I don't really have any business clothes (like suits or whatever), so I don't know what I want to wear. Maybe I'll go run out and buy a button down for this.
I am somewhat excited to get started with school, as it will be a nice change from working every day. I have afternoon/night classes and Fridays off! Woo hoo! So that means, if I only work the job three days a week, I can sleep in 2 days and still have my whole weekend. Sounds nice, right?
So anyway, I have been moving my stuff in to my room and my office room in my new house. Here is my office room, aka Shop With a Vengeance headquarters, which I painted a nice chocolate brown with one light light blue wall.. The picture doesn't really do it justice, and I definitely need some artwork on that blue wall. It's getting there.
Also, my run-over closet in the office room, which just holds... you guessed it... JUST shoes and purses! Haha!
And last but not least, here is my promised picture of my new doggie, Hunter. He is a two-year-old American Eskimo. We've had him about a month or so. He's good, most of the time, when he isn't barking!

- Peeptoad Hollow Natural Handmade Soaps
- A Design Brushes Review
- A gorgeous haul from ShoeStruck.com

Tagged: Beauty Advice from Mom!
Well, let me start by saying that my mom is not a skincare or makeup lover the way that I am. For example, she buys treatment serums but uses them once a week or "when she remembers" instead of using them every day as part of a regimen. Oftentimes, she asks me for advice instead of dispensing her own!
Regardless, she has given me some good advice regarding skincare in the past, so here are a few gems for your enjoyment:
1) Don't use too many products at once, you aren't a lab experiment!
I must say, this advice is very important. I find that whenever I try to use too many product or too many different products, my skin freaks out and leaves me looking a mess. But then, at the same time, I love trying out new stuff so I suppose I don't listen as much as I should!
2) Exercise regularly and get enough sleep.
This advice is essential to healthy skin and overall healthy bodies. Unfortunately, I don't follow it as much as I'd like! I am a night owl so I love staying up late!
Any beauty advice from your mom? Do you have any words of wisdom regarding beauty that you would pass down to your children? Let me know!

My first time being tagged :)
I've been Tagged by The Style Page! I figured Sunday was a good down day to get this done, so here goes :)
My 6 unspectacular quirks:
- I am late for everything. Being on time is really ridiculously difficult for me!
- I crave salty snacks a lot more than sweets. One of my favorites is Salt 'n Vinegar chips!
- I decorate my binders for school in hopes that it will get me more excited for my classes. I'm almost a senior in college, by the way.
- I get carsick if I'm not driving and I'm very paranoid about it, which doesn't really help. I might also be a hypochondriac.
- I procrastinate like crazy... I can't work if I'm not under pressure because I get too easily distracted with no deadline in sight!
- I can roll my stomach like a bellydancer! Although I've never taken bellydancing classes. I used to show people this, but I haven't in a really long time, lol.
1. link the person who tagged you.
2. mention the rules in your blog.
3. tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.

I'm tagging: Henna, Beauty Tyrant, Raging Rouge, Glamour Queen, Lakahna, and Vanessa! Not sure if you ladies have been tagged with this one yet but if so, sorry for the double tagging :)

NineMSN asks: Are you Addicted to Shopping?
I've been feeling like a shopaholic lately (not necessarily a bad thing!), so I wanted to see how I'd do on NineMSN's quiz! The verdict? Not too bad, not too bad... my final score on the quiz was a 17.
17 - 23: I shop because I want or need
"You enjoy shopping but there's usually a reason you're on the prowl — gift-buying, wardrobe update, shopping with friends. You can walk past a shop without going inside, but that doesn't mean you're not checking out the windows regularly just in case.
Shopping is most pleasurable for you when you know you can afford it, so you do your best to keep the credit card under control — which is not to say that you haven't been known to impulse buy and then wait in dread for the bills to arrive.
Make sure you keep an eye on your spending — put expensive items on hold for 24 hours before buying (that way you know you really love it); ensure you've got the best credit card for your spending patterns (whether that be rewards, low-interest, interest-free period); try to save in advance for major purchases. "
Take the quiz and find out if you're addicted to shopping!
Don't forget to let me know how you did! :)
